In episode 5 of Views, Kyle sits down with author, speaker and local bridge builder, Tru Pettigrew. Tru is the founder of Tru Access, which is an organization committed to helping both organizations and our local community get serious about all forms of reconciliation. This was most evident when he created what are known as “Barbershop Rap Sessions.” In the aftermath of the Michael Brown shooting, Tru worked with Cary PD and Headliners Barber Shop to create opportunities for dialogue between law enforcement and their local communities. Kyle and Tru dive into conversations on race, empathy, and discovering friendships in the most unlikely of places. Check it out!
