“Views from The Peak” is a mini series created and published by The Peak Church. Each month, we will explore a number of stories from members of our own church who survived something that really challenged their faith. Trigger Warning: You might hear about experiences with depression, infidelity, infertility, addiction, cancer, suicide, and more. The goal is to capture the raw honesty of what it is like traveling through the dark valleys of faith. And furthermore, where we’ve obtained views of God’s grace in some of the most unlikely places.

On today’s episode, we sit down with the host, Pastor Kyle Meier, to hear about his spiritual journey. His story contains details of what it was like being raised in a military family who battled addiction and substance abuse. You’ll also hear how soccer played a pivotal role in his conversion to Christianity. Finally, his story offers us a glimpse into experiences with spiritual deconstruction, theological homelessness, and the dark night of the soul.

We hope you enjoy!
