In the US, close to 20 million people battle addiction every day. Many of us have either struggled with or we care about someone who does. And yet, this conversation is not addressed in many churches today.
In this episode, Kyle sits down with Hollan and Brenda Steen. You’ll hear what it was like for Hollan to be introduced to drugs in high school. He shares about his experience getting arrested multiple times and causing serious harm to the ones he loved.
One such person was his mother, Brenda. In the second half of this episode, we sit down with Brenda to hear about her experience being the mother of an addict. She opens up about what it was like trying to support her son, while enduring panic attacks, sleepless nights, and even quitting her job.
