A Discipleship Program for all Stages of Faith

Pathways is a discipleship program to help you grow in faith no matter where you are in your walk with Jesus. If you are ready to deepen your relationship with God through intentional prayer, study, and service, Pathways is for you! This program consists of three paths – green, blue, and red – designed for the different stages of the Christian life. We hope that everyone at The Peak, whether you are brand new to faith or a lifelong Christian, will participate in Pathways and emerge from each path having moved further and deeper into the presence of God.

One Size Does Not Fit All

Discipleship, the process of actually following Jesus, is a lifelong journey, but we need different things at each stage of that journey. In the New Testament, Paul describes this as progressing from milk to solid food. That’s why we’ve designed each path for a different stage of your discipleship journey.

Think of Pathways like a series of hiking trails that increase in intensity as you progress. Those who are just beginning their discipleship journey will start with Green and then progress to Blue and Red, while those who have been walking with Jesus for a while may be ready to jump right into Blue.

Where Do I Start?

To determine which path is right for you, start by taking the ORDO Faith Assessment. Remember, ORDO is not a test; it is a tool to help you locate where you are in your faith now so you can follow the map that leads to where you want to go. Green Path (Ordo Stages 1-4)

The Green Path is designed for the earlier stages of faith and focuses on building a firm foundation of biblical literacy, participating in the mission of the Church, establishing spiritual disciplines, and understanding who God is. You might take the Green Path if you are new to faith or trying to figure out what you believe.

The Green Path is for those who:

• Are engaging faith for the first time
• Want to take ownership of the faith instilled by their parents
• Are deconstructing an old faith and reconstructing a new one
• Want to revisit the basics of the Christian life and build a firm foundation of faith

Blue Path (Ordo Stages 5-7)

The Blue Path is designed for going deeper in faith and focuses on interpreting complicated passages of Scripture, using your gifts with the right motivation, authentic and vulnerable prayer, and understanding God’s heart and character. You might take the Blue Path if you have been following Jesus for several years and you are ready for the Holy Spirit to purify and refine your faith to draw you closer to Jesus.

The Blue Path is for those who:

• Read the Bible often but want to study it in context
• Regularly participate in worship but want to take their faith out into the world
• Have a rhythm of spiritual disciplines but want a richer friendship with God
• Have a basic understanding of Christian teachings but want their beliefs to shape the way they live

Red Path (Ordo Stages 8-9)

We are also building a Red Path for those who are very mature in their faith that will focus on being fully aligned with the will of God. Be on the lookout for the Red Path to launch in future years!

How it Works

Each path comprises four core classes taught over the course of a year. You can register for each core class individually, but you will get the most out of this experience by taking the classes consecutively. Each session will offer teaching, group discussion, and practical application for you to explore between sessions.

Living Missionally
is all about being the hands and feet of Jesus. We will learn how to identify the gifts and passions God has given us and partner with Jesus to build His Kingdom on earth.

Knowing God’s Heart
is all about understanding God’s character. We will explore who God is, what God wants, and how we can embody God’s love in the world.
