scripture :: Matthew 5:13-16
“You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its saltiness, how will it become salty again? It’s good for nothing except to be thrown away and trampled under people’s feet. You are the light of the world. A city on top of a hill can’t be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they put it on top of a lampstand, and it shines on all who are in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before people, so they can see the good things you do and praise your Father who is in heaven.”

Comedy Night at The Peak: An Evening of Comedy and Conversation with Jeremy Alder // Friday, June 12 // 7:00 – 8:30 pm // The Sanctuary. Jeremy Alder is a warm, dry, spiritually curious, and delightfully irreverent comedian whose unconventional upbringing shapes his singular voice. Raised in a deeply religious, homeschooled Texas household, he grew up surrounded by sincerity, seriousness, and a fair amount of absurdity—raw material he now transforms into thoughtful, resonant comedy. After leaving ministry work behind, he stumbled into an open mic in North Carolina and found the creative outlet he didn’t know he needed. Learn more and buy tickets (just $10, with tickets benefitting local charities) at ThePeakChurch.org/comedy.
