We had an amazing weekend celebrating the life and We had an amazing weekend celebrating the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr! 🥘 15,000 meals are headed to the Phillipines! 🥪 250+ meals were distributed to our neighbors in Raleigh! ⛪️ Over 150 church members served in warehouses, building houses and soup kitchens this weekend! Thank you to our mission partners @riseagainsthunger @oakcitycares @habitatwake @wlfjesus. You are the embodiment of MLK’s belief that life’s most urgent question is “what are you doing for others?” It was such a joy to serve alongside you!

Many of us have friends and family members who are Many of us have friends and family members who are being impacted by these deadly wildfires in California. Please take a moment to lift up our brothers and sisters who have lost their homes, the firefighters and first responders who are running into harms way, and all who have suffered loss. If you don’t have the words to pray, check out our friends @everymomentholy and @liturgiesforparents who have put together very helpful liturgies for times like this. Also, please consider donating to @umc_umcor who will be on the ground once the recovery effort begins. “When one part of the body suffers, we all suffer with it.” 1 Cor 12:26
